My name is Fernando Gebhardt and in 2021 I have completed a Bachelor Degree in Networking.
Fernando’s Gebhardt passion for IT started when he was a teenager with the 3D animation movies and web design, but an absolute love and interest with networking and security technology.
Due to that, to complement his knowledge, Fernando did a PC support course where he has upskilled his abilities in that field, where he learned how to fix hardware and software problems. Fernando has completed a 12-week full-time program which involved him by receiving new skills development, such as training on IT fundamentals, networking (TCP/IP), Cloud Computing, managing ticket management systems and customer service skills as working in a team. Moreover, in 2021, Fernando has completed a Diploma Ordinary Bachelor Degree (NFQ Level 7) in Networking and Security Systems in Dublin, Ireland.
During his Bachelor’s degree, Fernando has acquired all the stuff related to networking as he has done some assignments where he applied all the stuff that he has been learning during his studies. During 2022, Fernando has done an internship from June to October as an ICT Engineer at Screen Scene Dublin, which specialises in VFX and Animation.
Fernando is a highly-motivated, approachable and versatile individual seeking a role in the IT field as a helpdesk to utilise his current analytical and problem solving skills in a practical environment.
Through his role as a barista and a first point of contact with customers as he needed to take orders and prepare beverages. During that short time, Fernando has developed communication and customer focused skills focusing when customers were ordering their order. Also, he has been developing his skills on working in a team as we were having to hand in the orders.
During his time at CCT, Fernando has been learning Wireshark, Windows Server Administrator, Active Directory, Wireshark. Additionally, during my internship, he learned how to use VNC, PDQ, and Teradici, as employees at Screen Scene were working remotely and needed an assistant in order to fix software and hardware issues. Additionally, maintaining the renderfarm was essential as sometimes, problems arose and needed to be resolved as soon as possible in order to avoid interfering with remote workers' so they were able to continue with their duties.
Among other tasks that have been taken as ICT Engineer were to prepare computers so new starters were able to use them with their specific software required with their new account. During that time Fernando has continually developed my array of soft skills through my previous work history complementary.
Fernando’s goal is to further develop the technical skills that he has gained on the 12-week IT Support and Cybersecurity program at Generation and at CCT. During his time at Generation, he took into practice how to listen to the customers as also to fix computer issues as some of them could take some extra time.
When finishing the Generation bootcamp, Fernando has done an internship at Wriggle Learning from June 2023 to nowadays. The main tasks during the job opportunity was to prepare and set up loads of notebooks and tablets for schools such as students and teachers, where needed to deploy those devices wit
