Smart Fit End-to-End Data Engineering & Analytics Pipeline This project is an end-to-end Data Engineering and Business Intelligence solution designed to collect, process, transform, automate, and analyze Smart Fit club data. The pipeline covers the complete data lifecycle: Scrapy → Apache Kafka → MinIO Bronze → Apache Spark → MinIO Silver → Snowflake → dbt → Power BI Apache Airflow orchestrates the entire workflow on a daily schedule, including data extraction, ingestion, processing, warehouse loading, dbt transformations, data quality tests, and automated email notifications. The infrastructure is containerized using Docker. The project includes web data extraction with Scrapy Spiders and Python/OOP, event streaming through Kafka producers and consumers, persistent raw and cleaned storage in MinIO, data processing with Apache Spark and Polars, analytical storage in Snowflake, and dimensional modeling with dbt using fact, dimension, and bridge tables. The final Power BI dashboard analyzes Smart Fit's club network across four areas: overall network performance, geographic distribution, membership plans and pricing, and services and availability. The project also focuses strongly on data quality, business-valid KPIs, secure credential management, automation, and reproducibility, making it a complete portfolio project combining Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, and Business Intelligence.
