Junior Game Developer – Unity/Unreal | Entry-Level Role

What You’ll Do  

- Construct gameplay mechanics, UI flows, and tools inside Unity or Unreal Engine.  

- Craft clean, reusable C# or C++ code that scales.  

- Integrate 3D art, shaders, and audio assets for seamless player immersion.  

- Debug relentlessly—identify, isolate, and fix defects before they reach production.  

- Write automated tests and run play-through sessions to guarantee stability.  

- Profile frames, memory, and draw calls, then fine-tune for 60+ FPS on target hardware.  

- Collaborate with designers, artists, and QA to iterate on feel and balance.  

- Document architecture choices, APIs, and workflow tips for future teammates.  

- Support live releases—monitor telemetry, react to incidents, and deploy hotfixes.  

Your Toolkit  

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Interactive Media, or related field.  

- 0–2 years of professional experience or significant personal projects.  

- Solid grasp of object-oriented principles, data structures, and algorithms.  

- Proficiency with at least one engine: Unity 2022 LTS or Unreal Engine 5+.  

- Comfort writing C# scripts or C++ modules; basic Python a plus.  

- Git fluency for branching, pull requests, and merge conflict resolution.  

- Understanding of common game patterns—state machines, ECS, event buses.  

- Familiarity with Visual Studio, Rider, or Xcode debuggers.  

- Exposure to source control pipelines, CI/CD, and cloud build agents.  

- Clear verbal and written communication; you explain technical trade-offs to non-devs.
