Junior SDET – Entry-Level Test Automation Engineer

What You’ll Do
– Craft maintainable UI, API, and mobile automation scripts with Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and REST-assured.
– Extend a modular testing framework in Java (11+) and Python 3 to support new microservices.
– Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for every pull request.
– Debug flaky tests, isolate root causes, and collaborate with developers on swift fixes.
– Document clear, reproducible defects in the team’s tracking system and champion quality metrics.
– Maintain cloud-based test environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform templates.
– Pair-test with senior engineers, share code reviews, and contribute to retrospective improvements.
Skills You Bring
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
– 0-2 years of hands-on automation using Selenium or Appium.
– Proficiency writing clean Java or Python code, coupled with solid OOP principles.
– Familiarity with Git workflows, RESTful APIs, and JSON.
– Understanding of SDLC, Agile ceremonies, and defect life cycle.
– Analytical mindset, concise communication, and a drive for continuous improvement.
Bonus Points
– Knowledge of BDD tools such as Cucumber or Behave.
– Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
– Experience testing data-driven systems with SQL and Postman.
