Technical Writer

We are looking for a passionate Technical Writer to help create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for different products and services. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to produce high-quality technical content, including user guides, API documentation, tutorials, and release notes.

Your responsibilities include the following:

• Write and maintain technical documentation (user manuals, API docs, FAQs, knowledge base articles).
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to gather technical details.
• Simplify complex technical concepts for different audiences (end-users, developers, support teams).
• Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy and clarity.
• Assist in creating tutorials, how-to guides, and video scripts.
• Contribute to internal wikis and documentation standards.

Here are some key requirements for your knowledge and skills:

Education & Background

• Recent graduate from a technical major (or completion of a relevant bootcamp/certification).
• Demonstrable experience in technical writing through student projects, open-source contributions, or internships (must).

Technical skills & Knowledge

• Basic understanding of software development concepts (APIs, databases, programming fundamentals).
• Familiarity with markup languages (Markdown, HTML, XML).
• Experience with documentation tools (Confluence, GitBook, ReadTheDocs, Sphinx).
• Basic knowledge of version control (Git, GitHub/GitLab).
• Ability to read and interpret code snippets (Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar).

Writing & Communication skills

• Strong written and verbal English skills (samples required).
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly for different audiences.
• Experience in academic writing, technical blogging, or technical documentation (personal projects count).

Nice to have

• Experience with diagramming tools (draw.io, Lucidchart).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Contributions to open-source projects (documentation improvements count!).
• Participation in hackathons, tech communities, or student clubs related to writing or tech.
